Social Integration Program for Youths with Disabilities

In Afghanistan, there is a serious lack of opportunities for youths with disabilities to access vocational training and other skills-building programs that facilitates their successful and safe integration into the workforce. ECI is addressing that gap through our Social Integration program, now going into its 3rd year.

The Social Integration program is integrates youths with disabilities (over the age of 14) into society by equipping them with skills, and placing them in the workforce as apprentices, interns, trainees and/or employees. The program also provides a number of scholarships for youth with disabilities to continue into higher education. Our students undergo an assessment and evaluation, followed by an intensive training and a skills-building program, before placement.
